Bring your pet to experience the benefits of Reiki and help rabbits in foster care!

ALL Animals are Welcomed!

The name Reiki, pronounced ''Ray-key'', comes from the Japanese words ''rei'' meaning spirit, and ''ki'' meaning energy.  It is usually translated as ''universal life energy''.  Reiki is a gentle, noninvasive holistic energy healing system that yields powerful results for the body, mind and spirit.

Our animal companions can benefit greatly from Reiki treatment.  Animals are very open and in tune with the flow of Reiki energy - they seem to know instinctively of its power to help them heal.  Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is thrilled that Ms. Jacqueline Crown and Ms. Marie Jackson have offered their gifts with animals to benefit the rabbits in our rescue.

Jacqueline began her studies in Reiki in 1991 and completed her Reiki Master training in 1994 in the Traditional Usui Method.  Currently offering reiki sessions and training, Jacqueline also works as a massage therapist, cranio-sacral therapist, sound therapist and yoga teacher.   Marie has been offering Reiki for over two years with all fees donated to shelters, rescues or humane societies.  Recently receiving her master attunement with Jacqueline, Marie is an active volunteer with "Tabby's Place" a sanctuary for cats that would otherwise be euthanized and also volunteers with Hunterdon county hospice offering Reiki to hospice patients.

Sessions are being scheduled between Noon and 4 pm.

A $10 donation at time of
registration is appreciated.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended to guarantee a spot!  Your pet will love you for it!

Session length will be determined by each individual animal.  We expect an average of 15 minutes.  Jacqueline's and Marie's observations during each session will determine best stopping point.

Walk-ins welcomed as time permits.

Just a few things Reiki can do for your animal:

  •  Promote relaxation, contentment and an overall sense of well-being.  Reduce stress levels and help calm aggressive or fearful animals.

  • Help relieve pain and discomfort.  Alleviate symptoms of disease.  Improve emotional and behavioral problems.

  • Accelerate post-surgical recovery.  Provide comfort and support to dying animals.
