Merry

Merry had been cruelly ’set free’ by her owners. Scared and unable to fend for herself, luckily, Merry wandered into the yard of a very caring person who called Safe Haven about her plight.  So happy and eager for help, Merry ran right over to my car when I pulled into the driveway of the home.   I had never seen anything like it ever before!

First glance found a very concerning wound on the right side of her face; just below the eye.  Having been living among pine trees, it is possible that she had gotten stuck by a branch but do not know for sure how she was injured.  Since the wound had not been cared for, it had abscessed and surgery was required.   Having undergone two surgeries since July 2008, Merry is doing very well today; no longer needs antibiotics and is now healthy and ready for adoption.

As with many dwarfs with the very cute, tiny round faces, Merry does get molar spurs which will need to be trimmed by a veterinarian every three or four months.   This will be an on-going issue for Merry, so her adopter will need to be willing to see that her teeth are properly cared for.

We give Merry an approximate birthday of July 25, 2007.   She is a spunky, adorable young lady who really will blossom in the loving home she so deserves.  She just needs a someone to love her,  teeth issues and all!  She is truly adorable.
