Nora

Abandoned along an interstate highway, this pretty young lady gave her rescuers quite an adventure in order to bring her to safety.   A very clever bunny and fast on her feet she had lots of fun evading us!   Once caught though, she quickly realized that being cared for and fed every day really was a much better life!    While still a baby herself, Nora was very pregnant when rescued and gave birth to 10 babies just 7 days later.

With her mothering days behind her - all the kids are on their own now - and spayed, Nora is patiently waiting for her special someone to come along and welcome her into their home.   Still a little shy when strangers come around - who could blame her! - Nora is very relaxed when just the "regulars" are around.   She loves to chew on her cardboard and sticks and can tear up newspaper with the best of them.   She is not one to dig or chew her rugs though and that gives her the privilege of always having a comfy carpet to lay on.  She loves her ears scratched and is very comfortable accepting pets.

Nora's litterbox skills are excellent and she loves her hay almost as much as she loves her salads!    Aged as 8-9 months in May, we give Nora an approximate birthday of Sept. 14th, 2006.   This is a bunny who we know will continue to blossom with the love and attention she so deserves.   Nora weighs just a little under 7 lbs.
