Penny

Born in August of 2001, Penny and her sister were the second litter born to young parents whose 'caretakers' did not know how to care for bunnies.   Brought into rescue in January of 2002, Penny soon blossomed into a healthy, active young lady.

Now a mature young lady, Penny's favorite activity is finding a good 'perching spot' where she can get a good view of her surroundings and keep an eye on things.  Penny is excellent with her litterbox and loves her hay.   Her only fault (if you call it that) is that she does not like to eat her veggies.   She will pick at her salad through out the day - seemingly just to keep us happy.

Just over 4 lbs., Penny would do best in an only bunny home.   She does seem to like other bunnies as neighbors, but has not yet shown good bonding potential.     Penny would love a forever home of  her own with parents willing to love and spend time with her.

**Update:   Our Miss Penny has recently been experiencing bladder sludge (which is a build up of sediment in her bladder).   She has been responding well to treatment.   She is currently receiving sub-q fluids; now being administered twice a week.     Time (and x-rays) will tell if this needs to be an on-going process or not.

While she is available for adoption, her adoptive parents must be willing to have her condition regularly monitored and treated as needed.   If you have read this so far, but are not sure you can make the commitment to Penny, please consider helping her through your donations.
