You may be wondering why a cat is memorialized with cherished bunnies. "Kitty" was a special cat with the friendship created between he and my bunny, "Sunshine."

 

Sunshine came to my family from Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue in May of 2014. Kitty and Sunshine shared a special bond for the last seven years. Sunshine was fascinated with Kitty's tail. Kitty did not mind Sunshine playing with his tail and would eventually walk away seeking higher ground on the coffee table.

Kitty died November 9, 2021. It was his birthday. After 19 years of bringing my family happiness and joy, his job on earth was done. If Kitty could talk to us, he would say the following:
 

"My journey is complete and I am in heaven.
Rest easy my beloved family, for I am no longer in pain.
Embrace the gift I have left behind".

 

Kitty left us the gift of love.
