Sunshine was adopted from Safe Haven Rabbit Rescue on May 1, 2014. He was a very active youngster who loved trying to get into trouble. He did need special fencing to keep him safe which we happily provided for him.  He loved to play and seemed to have a facination with my Kitty's tail.  He loved to swat at it, but the two soon became the best of friends.

Our family was heartbroken when Sunshine left us on July 12, 2024.  Based on his given birthday, he was 11.5 years old.  My husband wrote the following poem as a dedication of our families love:

Bunny’s Poem

He brought us joy throughout the day,

While gently munching on new hay.

Abandoned when still young,

A rescue bunny full of fun.

He called our Kitty his good friend,

And Mom he loved until the end.

He lived a long and happy life,

then passed in peace into the night.

It was his time, he had no fear,

And yet we all will shed a tear.

But we can smile and think a lot,

Of how he used to jump and hop.

He lived his life relaxed and free.

And now he rests by Cedar tree.
